| Overview |
For 2012, the Toyota Yaris hatchback has been redesigned into an all-new model, with slightly longer wheelbase, new exterior and interior styling, and more interior room. The Yaris sedan is carried over unchanged from 2011 except for revised headlights.
All Yaris models use a 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine with five-speed manual transmission or optional four-speed automatic. The hatchback comes as a two-door (called the 3-Door) in CE trim, or as a four-door (called the 5-Door) in LE and SE trim. The sedan comes in a single trim line with available option packages.
Features on the CE 3-Door hatchback include 15-inch steel wheels, manual mirrors and windows, front and rear splash guards, intermittent wipers, rear washer/wiper, cloth seats, 60/40 split-folding rear seat, driver’s knee airbag, front seat cushion airbags, tilt steering wheel, CD/MP3 stereo with four speakers, auxiliary input and USB port, Bluetooth connectivity, power locks, digital clock, and multi-information display. Air conditioning can be added as an option.
The LE 5-Door hatchback adds heated power-adjustable mirrors and tachometer. It can be optioned with a Convenience Package that adds air conditioning, cruise control, keyless entry and power windows.
The SE 5-Door hatchback adds 16-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, sport seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, six speakers, cruise control, keyless entry, power windows, intermittent rear washer/wiper, skirt package, rear spoiler, and fog lamps.
Features on the sedan include 15-inch steel wheels, cloth seats, 60/40 split-folding rear seat, tilt steering wheel, CD/MP3 stereo with four speakers and auxiliary input, dual vanity mirrors, floor mats, digital clock, illuminated entry, manual mirrors and intermittent wipers.
An available Convenience Package adds air conditioning, keyless entry, blacked-out window side frames, front and rear splash guards, trunk chrome trim, power locks, power-adjustable heated mirrors, colour-keyed door handles and cruise control.
An available Enhanced Convenience Package builds on the Convenience Package and adds cruise control.
