For 2010, the Lincoln MKT is an all-new model.
Sharing its platform with the Ford Flex, the three-row MKT comes with a choice of two engines: a naturally-aspirated 3.7-litre V6, or a 3.5-litre EcoBoost V6 which uses twin turbochargers and direct injection to provide the power of a V8 with the fuel efficiency of a V6. Both use a six-speed automatic transmission with manual mode and paddle shifters, and both are all-wheel drive.
The MKT comes in a single trim line, with available options.
Features include 20-inch alloy wheels, tri-zone automatic climate control, rear auxiliary climate controls, wood and leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, power tilt and telescopic column, reversing sensing system, rearview camera, MyKey owner controls, auto up/down windows, fog lamps, privacy glass, illuminated entry, fixed glass sunroof with power sunshades, automatic xenon headlamps with load-limiting high beams, heated blind spot mirrors with driver's side auto-dimming and integrated turn signals, power liftgate, LED taillamps, genuine wood interior trim, auto-dimming rearview mirror, 12-way power heated and cooled leather seats, second-row fold-flat bench seat with heated outboard seats, second-row foot rest, third-row 50/50 split fold-flat bench seat, driver's side memory, tire pressure monitoring system, 110-volt power outlet, CD/DVD/MP3 stereo with auxiliary input, USB port and 10-GB Music Jukebox hard drive, Sirius satellite radio, SYNC, pushbutton start, garage door opener, power-adjustable pedals, cargo cover and net, SecuriCode keyless entry keypad, rain-sensing wipers, and two-speed rear wiper.
An available Elite Package adds a voice-activated navigation system, surround sound audio system, Blind Spot Information System, Cross Traffic Alert, and power panoramic Vista Roof. Other options include adaptive cruise control with collision warning and brake support, Active Park Assist, a second-row refrigerated console, DVD headrests, trailer tow package, and power second-row bucket seats.
