| Overview |
An all-new model for 2009, the Lincoln MKS adds a second engine choice for 2010 with the introduction of its 3.5-litre "EcoBoost" turbocharged direct-injection V6 engine, which provides V8-style power with the fuel economy of a V6. All models receive transmission shifter paddles, an upgraded stereo, new steering wheel and MyKey, which allows owners to set limits for younger drivers.
The new EcoBoost model, called the GTDI, also has two new available packages. A Vision Package includes collision mitigation, forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, THX II 5.1 surround sound system, voice-activated navigation system, rear backup camera and active park assist. The EcoBoost Appearance Package includes Sienna and Black leather seats, metallic trim, 20-inch chrome wheels, lip spoiler, leather-wrapped steering wheel, illuminated scuff plates, and body skirt kit.
The MKS comes with a choice of two engines: a 3.7-litre V6, and the new 3.5-litre EcoBoost V6 with twin turbochargers and direct injection. Both use a six-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode. The 3.7-litre comes in front-or all-wheel drive, while the EcoBoost is all-wheel only.
Standard features include 19-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated mirrors with memory, puddle lamps, and auto-dimming driver's side, dual chrome exhaust tips, adaptive Xenon headlamps, LED taillights, front and rear parking sensor system, rain-sensing wipers, touch-sensitive keypad, proximity key with pushbutton start, capless fuel filler system, leather 12-way power heated and cooled front seats, heated rear seats, power rear sunshade, auto-dimming rearview mirror, MyKey, SYNC voice-activated communications and entertainment system, six-CD/MP3 stereo with Sirius Satellite Radio, wood steering wheel with power tilt and telescopic column, garage door opener, rain-sensing wipers, 60/40 split-folding rear seat, and fog lamps.
